Those in attendance at the ShowEast movie exhibition trade show heard Fox International co-president Tomas Jegeus say, “Traditional marketing is dead,” reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Jegeus later said spending tens of millions of dollars on mass-market campaigns that reach people who will never, ever be inclined to see the movie in question is a waste of money. Better, he said, to target the online audience through ads on social networks and blogs.
